Itinerary:

We will start at Deep Creek Parking Lot. That is for those that want to meet us. We will start at Indian Creek Trail Head, this trail is 4.5 miles. Turn on Martin Gap Trail 1.5 miles and find campsite at either #58, or #59. Sunday we will hike about 4.2 to 4.5 miles back to our cars. We will stop at a convient place for lunch and then back to Atlanta. Big elevation gain of about 1000" in 1.3 miles. Total mileage ia 11-12 miles.

Required Items to Bring:
tent, sleeping bag, stove, dinner, snacks and water. Leaders will have water filter

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Bring warm clothes to hike in and warm clotheing to sleep in. You do not want to sleep in the clothes that you hike in.

From Indian Trail Park and Ride we will take I 85 North to Exit 365 North to Clayton and then pick up 441 to Bryson City North Carolina and then to Deep Creek Ranger Station.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $130.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
