Itinerary:

The Lost Corner Park is another one of the hidden treasures in the Sandy Springs, Ga community. The beautiful 24 acre preserve was transformed into a usable recreation area by the City of Sandy Springs. Lost Corner's address is 7300 Brandon Mill Rd. at the corner of Riverside Drive/Dalrymple Road and Brandon Mill Road.

The trail is relatively small, but beautiful! We hike this trail quie a few times throughout the year, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to give back by participating in one of the Friends of Lost Corners Trail Clean-up Projects.   You may donate as much time as you would like to this project 1 hr, 2 hrs or more. The lady that heads-up the monthly volunteer projects for LOst Corners is a Master Gardner for the park. With this in mind, as a bonus we get to learn a lot about gardening.

Additionally, the Lost Corner has a unique history as a working farm, dating back to the settlement of the area in the mid 1800s and the Civil War. To learn more about the history, property, community garden, nature trails, and meeting place you can visit the following website:

 http://www.friendsoflostcorner.org/history/

We had a great time the last event,  and the park administration is still talking about how much work our group of volunteers along with the community volunteers completed!

This is a lot of fun and an excellent opportunity to volunteer!
