Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike on the beautiful trails of the Island Ford unit of the Chattahoochee River Natl Recreation Area (CRNRA).   We will be hiking at a steady but moderate pace along the river, up into the woods and then 1 lap on the lollipop loop.  There are some moderate climbs but nothing too hard.

If you are looking for a faster fitness hike then this is not the hike for you.

We will meet at the Visitor Center.   See below for directions.

Please note that there is a $3 cash parking fee unless you have an annual Chattahoochee River Rec parking pass.   If you would like an annual pass please know that the Visitor Center will be open for you to purchase one.

There are bathrooms in the visitors center but note that the center closes at 5pm.

Please feel free to bring your dog but know that, per park rules, all dogs must be on a leash.

Required Items to Bring:

Hiking shoes
Water to keep you hydrated
$3 cash for parking or annual valid parking pass
