Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

We wanted to try and get out of town on a weekday and check out a beautiful area of amazing waterfalls located so close to the city.

I have hiked this area once before, but prefer to call it an explore.  We will head out from the campground and will see 4 waterfalls eventually.  It will be necessary to cross the creek twice going and coming.  So, be prepared for that. 

We will maintain a fairly slow pace at around 3 MPH.  Both Kristi and I are photographers and we may want to snap some shots along the way as well.  We will plan to have lunch at one of the waterfalls.  We will be out on the trail for about 3 hours and want to get back to the carpool by 4:00.

In general, we just want to have a fun and relaxed mid-week nature explore and take in some wonderful falling water and hopefull some wildlife too.  We hope you can make yourself available for a fun day!

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $45.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
