Ready to see a couple of newer trails at Sweetwater?  This could be a perfect hike for you!  We will be taking a liesurely paced stroll on 8 miles of trails at Sweetwater Creek State Park.  This will include the brand new Blue and Orange trails along with most of the Yellow.  This is more about the wooded trails at Sweetwater, although we will take a short side trail to view the ruins from the opposite bank.  I plan on keeping the group together and there will be some elevation gain (most of it in the first half of the hike).  After the hike, we'll stop by the visitors center - if you have never explored it, it really is nice (and free).

We'll meet in front of the visitor's center - be sure to leave enough time to secure parking (and pay if you do not already have a GA State Park Pass).  I do plan on starting to hike on time, so please be prompt.

*If you bring your dog, please remember they must be on a leash throughout the hike.

Note: there is a $5 per vehicle parking fee. No carpool for this event.
