Itinerary:

Join me for a casual hike on Easter Sunday at Sweetwater State Park. We will be hiking the yellow and the orange trail at a steady but not fast pace. The azalea's may still be blooming along with the small understory flowers and possibly the mountain laurels. There is usuall wildlife to be seen along the way.

The yellow trail starts out flat and runs along Sweetwater Creek, then we will hike up the hill for 350 foot elevation gaing which leads to the orange trail. This trail has several rolling hills that lead through hardwood trees. We will meet up with yellow trail again which will bring us back to our starting point.

We will meet at the event, no carpool will be organized.

Dogs are allowed on a 6 foot leash. Bring water for your dog.

Entrance fee is $5.00 unless you have a Georgia State Park Pass.

Take I-20 west from Atlanta, exit #44 at Thornton Road, turn left and go ¼ mile. Turn right on Blairs Bridge Road. After 2 miles, turn left on Mount Vernon Road and proceed to the park.
