This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

We will start our hike by going up the main trail to Mt Yonah. Approximately half way up Mt Yonah, we will pick up the trailhead to Pink Mountain.  Once at the summit of  Pink Mountain, we will descend back down to the Mt Yonah trailhead and then ascend to the summit of Mt Yonah.

Our pace will be moderate, covering 7 miles with a total elevation of 2,000 feet. We will stop and enjoy the views and have lunch.

This is NOT a hike for beginners. This hike is for those that have D3 plus experience.

For those carpooling we will be leaving the Mansell Park and Ride promptly at 8:00am. We plan to start the hike at 9:30 am.  We will met at the Mt Yonah parking lot where restrooms are available.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $49.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Notes:
Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $50.84(calculated at total miles (124) * $0.400, effective Sunday, June 28, 2015). This is based on the current gas, maintenance, and other costs of $0.400 per mile as stated by the IRS & Cars.com. This should be divided by the total number of people in the vehicle (incl driver).
For example: With 4 people in the vehicle, the expense per person on this trip would be $12.71. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

Additional advice: The cost of your trip is up to your driver. Your cost should not be greater than what is listed above, unless there is extenuating circumstances. If you want to be sure about the cost of the trip, check with your driver before you get into the vehicle. If you are the driver of the vehicle, this is a guideline to what you charge and not a rule.
