Itinerary:

How about a very moderately paced hike (beginners welcome) on this Friday morning of the Memorial Day weekend?  The Roswell Area Park is a multi-purpose facility, amazingly large and well-maintained, that affords very pleasant walks around multiple athletic fields, an art center, a recreation facility, and a beautiful pond. We'll even see a couple of sculptures that have been erected for the 2017 ArtAround Roswell exhibits.  Though the trails are not completely flat, they are not at all challenging, affording a good workout without a lot of effort.

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS IS NOT THE ROSWELL PARK ON RIVERSIDE ROAD THAT ACCESSES THE BOARDWALK.  This park is on Woodstock Road.  Check the directions!

Comfortable walking shoes are ideal, as the paths are either hard-packed gravel or asphalt.  There are even bathroom facilities along the way.

Dogs are welcome on the hike, but if you bring your pet, please plan to obey the leash laws.  After all, the reputation of the AOC is at stake during our group hikes, and we always want to be responsible users of the areas we frequent.

We'll start our walk at 10 am, so please arrive about 10 minutes early to check in and meet the group.
