Itinerary:

Come paddle with us down the Chattahoochee River to the AOC Picnic! We will begin at Island Ford and end at Morgan Falls Overlook Park.  There are a few small ripples at the beginning of the paddle, but then it will be calm the rest of the way. If we have gotten recent rain, the river may be moving faster than normal.  

This will be a BYOB event and will involve a short shuttle.

Notes:

Bring a change of clothes in a dry bag, just in case you go into the water, or want to change for the picnic. Also, don't forget to register for the picnic and bring what you need for it, if you plan to stay for the picnic!

Note: There is an approx 350 foot walk from the unloading area to the boat ramp at Island Ford (over a grassy area) and an approx 700 foot walk from the dock to the parking lot at Morgan Falls Overlook Park (up a paved, ascending path).   If you have a boat cart, we recommend bringing it.  If not, there will be carts among the group for shared use.  The take-out at Morgan Falls Overlook Park is a dock, and you will need to make a dock exit.  If you are not familiar with this technique, there will be someone who can assist you.
