Itinerary:

Panthertown Valley is a great place to spend a weekend wandering around but people don't always have time for that. This trip is for those busy people who would love to check it out but can't devote an entire weekend. This trip will include many waterfalls, swimming holes, rivers and rocky overlooks.

We will be using many of the unofficial potentially overgrown trails, a small amount of easy scrambling and walking up to waist deep through slow moving rivers for significant amounts of time(~ 2 miles). We will cover around 15 miles at a moderate pace. While the elevation gain is fairly gentle for a hike this length it tends to feel a little bit harder due to the unofficial trails that often have you bending over or climbing over things. Also as you might have guessed walking up the river also takes more energy and concentration than walking on trails. If you sign up I expect you to complete the entire hike as planned, taking an alternate path on your own is not an option because I would like to keep the whole group together.

The route we plan on taking is shown in purple below. Please note that you can view the elevation profile by clicking on the line and selecting Profile. I have included potential alternates in case we have to eliminate any sections for reasons such as high water or trails that are no longer passable.
