CHANGE OF PLANS

The Roswell section of the Greenway is being repaired.  As a result, we will be starting from the North Point Parkway trailhead.  It is next to Ethan Allen Furniture on North Point Parkway.

We will still attempt to cover 18 miles, by doing a double loop of Marconi Drive.

Directions to North Point Parkway trailhead: Take GA 400 North to Exit 8, Mansell Road.  At the top of the ramp turn right onto Mansell Road.  Use the left 3 lanes to turn left onto North Point Parkway.  The trailhead will be on your right just past Ethan Allen Furniture.

______________________________________________________________________________________

This is not a casual ride.  We will be moving at a moderate to fast pace, and average over 14 mph, including stops.

Join us for an after work ride on the Big Creek Greenway. For those of you who have not been on the Big Creek Greenway, it is great!  It is very well maintained, clean and very pretty.  We might even see some wildlife.  The Greenway is made up of mostly paved pathways through the woods with some boardwalks mixed in. We plan to do about 18 miles, starting from the Old Alabama Road parking area.  We'll ride to the end of the Greenway, on Marconi Drive.  This is were it gets intersting.  We'll get on Marconi Drive and do an out and back, then return to the trail head.

The ride is suitable for a hybrid, road bike or mountain bike. Please make sure your bike is ready to go the night before. We will depart from the parking lot at 6:00 sharp so please arrive 10 minutes early.

Special thanks to Trena and Lauren for the picture and basic information!
