Itinerary:

Sunset Time: 8:04PM Bring a headlamp/flashlight

This is a weekly event that never takes the exact same route twice. We will generally cover about 6 miles but it could be more or less depending on how hilly or rocky the week's hike turns out to be. The route will vary based on the group that shows up, how I feel on a given day, and the weather conditions, potentially using the barely there unofficial pathways or even some scrambling by cliffs. I will not take routes with cliffs if anyone on the event is uncomfortable with them or will provide a short alternative or brief stop for those who don't want to do a section.

In my eyes this is the best intown park for hiking. It really ends up feeling like you are in the wilderness. On easier sections the pace will generally be quick but not anything crazy staying between 3 and 3.5 mph. On harder sections it will be a bit slower. With all that being said this tends to be a harder D3 event due to the pace, steepness of hills, and low number of breaks.

Note:This event will continue through the fall and winter. As the days get shorter the start time will need to get earlier and the duration will get shorter please make sure you note the start time as it will be changing often. Additionally they will all go to the latest time allowed which is 30 minutes after sunset so you should bring a headlamp/flashlight. Due to the shorter duration, hikes will get faster travelling 3.5mph to 4mph as the length approaches 60 minutes. I plan on listing them as a very difficult D2.

WE WILL MEET AT THE INDIAN TRAIL ENTRANCE WHICH IS DOWN A SHORT DIRT ROAD, GO ALL THE WAY TO THE END! There is a $3 parking fee payable with cash.

Additionally if it is raining don't bother calling to see if it is still on. The answer is yes it is. Finally we will be leaving on time and you should be there a few minutes early. If you are late we will not be waiting and the nature of the event makes it very difficult for you to catch up or find us.
