Itinerary:
Join me for a Saturday morning hike at Island Ford! We will cover 5.5 miles by heading over to the river trail, adventure up a few of the back hills, we will hike the lollipop trail and then loop back around. We will stop to enjoy the scenery and hydrate, but expect to keep a steady pace throughout the hike.
We will meet at the Visitorís Center which is located at the back of the park. Follow the road, passing two other parking lots on your left until the road dead ends to the Visitorís Station all the way at the back of the park.† The Visitorís Center will be open and restrooms will be available there. Prepare to come a few minutes early to pay the $3 parking fee or to purchase an annual pass at the Visitorís Center for $35.
Dogs are welcome but must be on leash at all times in accordance with Chattahoochee NRA park rules.
