Itinerary:

Let's do the summer shuffle at Vogel State Park for our first Pioneer camping of 2018. Enjoying nature, sleeping outdoors, sitting around a campfire, and musical entertainment. If you have an instrument feel free to bring it along.

A Pioneer Camping first. Wake up Saturday and take on a D5 hike on Coosa Loop. Maybe extend your hike to Blood Mountain and turn it to a D6. Of course we'll have the Bear Hair Gap trail and Lake loop for an easier day hike.

Our plan is to arrive Friday anytime after 1pm, gates are locked at 10:00pm. We'll set up camp, fire up the grills for dinner and enjoy our camp fire entertainment. If you can't make it Friday afternoon, you're welcome to join us Saturday morning.

Saturday, we will have a hearty hot breakfast. After breakfast you'll have a choice of hikes, a bagged lunch is included. After our hike we will cook up left overs from Friday Nights dinner for those too hungry to wait for dinner.

Saturday evening we will fire up the grills again, relax around the fire and enjoy more musical entertainment. Sunday, it's a light breakfast and pack for home.

Menu Highlights:

Salmon, Steak, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Salad, Eggs, Pancakes, etc.

Bacon Lovers rejoice we will triple our bacon output for Saturday morning.

Vegans forget the boring Vegan burger, you will be treated to a hot off the grill Veggie Sub, Boston style, with or with out cheese.

It just doesn't get any better! Join us for the first classic pioneer camping trip!

There is a $5.00 Park Fee (pay at the park!) unless you have an Annual Park Pass!
