Calling all intermediate to advanced runners for a fun Saturday early morning trail run. This will include some fast hiking on big hills and running flats, downhill and some easy hills. Come enjoy running and getting back home early for more weekend fun. We will start at the Visitor Center trailhead and then take the AT Approach trail to Springer Mountain.
Following a short respite at Springer we will backtrack to the Len Foote Hike Inn cut-over trail. After another break at the Hike Inn, (maybe coffee, tea or snacks) we will take the Len Foote trail back to the visitors center.
Before you sign up for this run, please make sure that you can run the posted distance comfortably at a moderate pace. Two or three well behaved dogs will be permitted, subject to prior approval. Please contact the TL's if you sign-up and if you want to bring your dog.

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.|
Sometimes, the Len Foote Inn will share coffee, tea, fruit
and other leftovers as snacks for day hikers. If this
privilege is available and you choose to take advantage of it,
kindly bring cash to tip appropriately or donate.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $38.40
(calculated at total miles (96) * $0.400, effective Tuesday,
June 02, 2015). This is based on the current gas, maintenance,
and other costs of $0.400 per mile as stated by the IRS &
Cars.com. This should be divided by the total number of people
in the vehicle (incl driver).
There is another $5.00 State Park Fee per car, unless you have an annual park pass.
