Join us for a classic AOC hike at Amicalola Falls, starting from the Visitor Center to include those lovely steps. We will keep a moderate pace for this hike so we don't get too apart and we can gat home for other evening activities. Again starting from the visitor center...

After the mile hike up the 425 falls steps, we will head up the Springer/AT Approach trail up up up the hill and then turn right onto the Len Foote Trail to the Hike Inn. This will be the place to have your snack or lunch before we finish the hike. They have hot water so feel free to bring your cider, tea or cocoa. For a small tip, there are usually leftover treats to be tasted, and oooh I have tasted some yummy things there. After a brief respite and maybe a Bio-break, we will finish the 5mile hike down the Hike Inn Trail to the top of the falls for those 425 steps back down to the parking lot.

Carpool - 7:30am

Hike start - 8:45am

Hike end - 2:45pm ish

Back at carpool - 4:00pm ish

Tested hiking shoes or boots

Water, 2L with refills available at the Inn

Snacks or lunch

Clothing layers appropriate for weather

Cash for driver and parking, fee is $5 for the state park unless you or driver has a pass.

From Mansell Park and Ride head north on GA 400 past the Outlet Mall to GA 136.

Left on GA 136 to GA 52.

Turn left on 52 and follow to the park entrance on the right.

We will meet at the Visitor Center.
