Itinerary:

Join us for an evening of climbing of at Stone Summit Atlanta! First-time climbers and new AOC members are welcome.

The cost is only $11 per person, including rental equipment. You'll pay this directly to Stone Summit when you arrive. Tell them you're with the AOC group to get the discount. They'll have a list of our names and check you off.

If it's your first time at Stone Summit:
- Before paying, you'll first need to sign a waiver at the kiosks on the right. - Then, after paying and picking up your gear, they'll give you a short safety orientation. This only takes a few minutes.
- If you know how to belay, you'll need to take a belay test before you can belay in their facility.
- (If you arrive early you can get this all taken care of before 6:30. If not, no problem.)

We'll meet at 6:30 near the tables to the LEFT after you've entered. Try to be there on time so we can introduce everyone. (It's ok if you arrive after 6:30, but please let me know if you'll be late, and check in with me on arrival).

From there, we'll spread out somewhat based on what's available and what we're all interested in.  It's a big, crowded place, so call me if you have trouble finding us.

Once you've checked in with me, there's no requirement to stay with the group if you want to do something specific. I'll do some top-roping and some bouldering; if you find a buddy for lead-climbing, go for it. The AOC event ends at 8:30, but stay as long as you want. Stone Summit is open until 10.


Required Items to Bring:
  • Workout clothes. You'll want a full range of motion. You may want pants to help avoid scraping your knees.
  • Bring or borrow climbing equipment (Stone Summit will provide these at no extra charge, but will hold your drivers license until they're returned): 
  • - Climbing shoes
  • - Climbing harness
  • Card/cash for the $11 fee
