Arrive by 8:00 am to allow time for sign-in, and getting to the Ampitheater (Visitor Center picnic area) which is 5-10 minute walk from the overflow parking lot. We will group near the registration table at the overflow parking lot.

This is the write-up by the Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club:

Work Plan March 10, 2018 Trail Day

March 10, 2018 Trail Work Day Plan

The work will consist mostly of more trashing the trail creep erosion, out sloping the trail in places, removing trip hazards, and finishing up some of the work from last month.

Attached is the workday plan for 3-10. Back on the Mountain Trail. Bruce may make some changes between now and then to hand out to crew leaders on 3-10. Work Plan for March 10

We walked the trail yesterday in the rain and the work is holding up well. Some of our work still needs to be tweeked and Bruce will let the crew leaders know. We accomplished more work last week with a smaller number of volunteers than we had in November, probably due to a higher concentration of experienced crew leaders, less time for crew leaders staging tools, etc.

Please note that we will close the Mountain Trail and detour to the Picket Line Trail as before.

We plan to have a ditch witch on the lower portion of the trail this month.

Next month on 4/14 is the next KMTC Trails Work Day.
