Sunday Evening Hike @ Sandy Springs w/ Optional Free Concert

 Join me for a fun Sunday evening hike around Sandy Springs and then an optional free concert with Banks & Shane at Heritage Green. We will meet at Heritage Green on the right side when facing the stage

We will hike 3 miles at a moderate pace around the Sandy Springs area ending back at the Heritage Green. The hike will last from 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm. For those opting to stay after the hike, we will eat & socialize from 6:15 pm - 7:00 pm when the concert begins.

Free parking is available in designated lots off Sandy Springs Place and Sandy Springs Circle. There will be Sandy Springs police directing traffic. DO NOT park in private retail establishments and centers including City Walk (Kroger) and Centre Court (formerly ACE Hardware). Towing will be enforced. For those staying for the concert ~ Arrive before 5:00 pm when the gates open. Allow enough time to park & walk to the gate. We will then set up our chairs / blankets on the right side facing the stage & leave them with our coolers while we hike. We need to be set up before the hike begins promptly at 5:15 pm.

Banks & Shane (Multi-Genre) concert is from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and is located at Heritage Green on The Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn. Concerts by the Springs is presented free of charge by Heritage Sandy Springs. Attendees are welcome to bring camping/beach chairs and blankets. Picnic baskets and coolers are welcomed. Additional food will be available for purchase from specialty food food trucks (1 food truck & 1 dessert truck (ice cream & popcicles)). Kroger is just across the street if you want to purchase food & drinks. Beer, wine, sodas, and water will be available for sale, with proceeds benefiting Heritage Sandy Springs. You can also bring your own food & beverages but remember to drink responsibly.

On May 13, the on-site food vendors will be Brooke Lynn’s Sticks & Cones and King of Pops.

Banks & Shane are a high-energy, hard kicking, blow the roof off band that has had capacity crowds around the world dancing in the aisles to party favorites and reminiscing with memorable ballads. No matter what age, Banks & Shane transport fans back to Spring Break. Banks and Shane started performing in the Atlanta area in August 1972 and have entertained with performances around the U.S. and the world. They have recorded 12 albums since 1972. They owned and operated two Atlanta restaurant/supper clubs - Banks & Shane's in Sandy Springs and in Underground Atlanta from 1983–1992.
