Itinerary:

This is an invigorating 7-mile loop hike at Kennesaw Mountain, starting and ending at the visitors center. We'll cross the mountain at the beginning, getting the hardest part out of the way early, and then take the New Salem Church Trail to the Camp Brumby Trail that winds around the mountain.

This event is rated a D3. Elevation gain will be in excess of 1,000 feet, and our moving pace will be brisk but not brutal at 2.5-3 mph on average. We'll try to stay together on the hike.

We'll meet at the Kennesaw Mountain Visitors Center, located at 900 Kennesaw Mountain Dr, Kennesaw, GA 30188. (The visitors center is near the intersection of Old Highway 41 NW and Stilesboro Road NW.) Please plan to arrive a little early in case the visitors center lot is full and you need to park at the overflow lot located a short distance away at 1200 Old Highway 41 NW.
