Itinerary:

Come join us for a nice morning hike at Island Ford! We will enjoy many of the trails at this beautiful park. We'll move at a moderate pace as we take in the sites there!


We are parking in the first lot on your left as you enter the Park.  We aill start on time, so please arrive 10 minutes early to buy a parking pass and to meet your fellow hikers. (This park requires a $5 parking fee, so if you don't have an annual pass, be sure to bring $5 cash.)

 

We will pass the Visitor Center during our hike, so if needed, we can take a quick bathroom break. 

 


Required Items to Bring:

Comfortables shoes or hiking boots and Water
$5.00 or your annual pass 

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Hiking poles if you have them

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From northbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
- Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
- Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.
