Itinerary:

This FAST paced after work, weekday D4 is the perfect workout hike to help you get a better fitness base and some longer weekday miles. Join me as we light up the trails with a quick stepping (may a lil Recon Shuffle) hike that will get that heart rate & step count up right out of the gates. We'll even see some nice elevation, as I take you along what I affectionately dub my "training grounds!" We hit a few of the same paths, but it's worth it. Conditions have been a little sloppy, so be prepared for some loose terrain - trekking poles are always advised since we hit a few bushwhacking sections (bug repellant is a +).

Again, this is a FAST hike along various trails at VC/CRNRA (in a top secret special direction) and we'll only be re-grouping at the top of the bigger climbs, so there are no formal stops planned since daylight is something we're racing. Look forward to a sub 15 to 18 minute mile pace, if you haven't been on any of my Vickery Creek QuickStep format hikes I will be calling/emailing you to ask you if you really know what you're getting in to!

Conveniently located in historic Roswell, GA, the historic "Vickery Creek" unit of the Chattahoochee River Nat'l Recreation Area (CRNRA) boasts an amazing variety of shady creekside and ridgetop trails and is one our Club's favorite places for hiking (mine for sure).
