Looks like beautiful weather for Monday. Join me at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, now that the National Parks are (at least temporarily) opened up again. We will log 8.6 miles with 2 passes over Kennesaw Mountain.
Please arrive by 10:20am. We will start promptly at 10:30am.
We are STARTING IN THE BACK OF THE OVERFLOW PARKING LOT, then going over big Kennesaw, little Kennesaw, and Pigeon Hill to Burnt Hickory. We'll have a short break at Burnt Hickory before going out to the East Trail / New Salem Trail around and back to the base of the mountain before going over the mountain again, then past the Visitor's Center and back to our cars.
This is not a beginner's hike, nor is it a super fast-paced fitness hike. We will be moving at a moderate speed and pausing to regroup occasionally. If you do not have recent D4 experience you may be moved to the wait list.
|How to Get There:|
1) I-75 North to exit 267B Hwy 5 Canton Road Connector
