Itinerary:

Please join us for Ron's second co-lead as a Potential Trip Leader!

This trail has it all!  2 Waterfalls, a babbling brook and a wonderful view from the top.

Join us as we hike the Bartram Trail from Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle Knob.  This trail starts with a bang as we hit our first waterfall at about .25 miles in.  This is Becky Branch Falls.  We snap some pictures, enjoy the view and get back on the trail.  Martin Creek Falls is just 1.5 miles further, it’s a good one too!  At the 3.5 mile mark we will make a turn onto the Pinnacle trail and get to the top in less than a mile.  The view from the top is AWESOME!  We will stop here for lunch and enjoy the views.  After lunch we will retrace our steps back to the cars.  Expect a moderate pace (2.5 mph) on the way up and a more energetic pace (3 mph) as we descend.

This is an 8.5 mile hike with about 1800 feet of ascent.  We make a steady ascent starting at the 2 mile point, but it never gets especially steep.

This is a solid D4 hike with significant elevation change and pace; if you have not recently done a D4 hike, this may not be the best hike for you.

We will be meeting at the Ingles in Clayton at 9:15am for a bathroom break before we make the 3 mile drive down Warwoman Rd. to the trailhead.  If you are not in the carpool, meet the group at Ingles at 9:15.  The address for Ingles is : 176 Hwy 441 N, Clayton, GA 305250.
