Itinerary:

Start our hike at Deep Creek Ranger Station on Indian Creek Trail. Follow Indian Creek for 2.2 miles then turn right on Deeplow Gap Trail for 1.8 miles then turn left on Thomas Divide Trailf or 3.1 miles to camp site 52 where we will camp for the night. Sunday be on trail by 8:30. We will follow Mountain To Sea Trail and Sunkota Ridge Trail 8.7 miles. This hike has a lot of elevation gain (start 1800' go to 5000') and then start a descent back to 1800". If you have never hiked with me before I will need to contact you before you will be able to go on this hike.

Required Items to Bring:
Tent, sleeping pad, dinner for Saturday and breakfast Sunday Morning. lunch Saturday and Sunday 2 liters of water, water filter and stove. First Aid Kit

I-85 North to I-965 turn left will change to Hwy 441 follow 441 thru Clayton toward Franklin N C turn right onto 441/64 follow signs to Bryson City take exit #67 turn right on Veterans Blvd cross railroad tracks and follow signs to Deep Creek Campground.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $140.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
