Itinerary:

This is a very special and wonderful forest to spend a day soaking in the nature. If you never had a 26.2 experience before, this is a beautiful place to get it.

Clemson Experimental Forest, a 17,500 acre forest surrounding Clemson University, is a natural resource laboratory. The forest is habitat for more than 195 species of birds and more than 90 species of trees. The forest is used for research, education, and recreation.

The entire course of this event is part of the Clemson Experimental Forest trail system. The course is not technical. Some of the course is along Lake Issaqueena and Lake Hartwell. AOC will be a sub-group of this event. If you sign up this AOC event, you also need to sign up using the following link.

Aid stations will be available at miles 6.5, 13.2, 19.5 with water for refill and whatever snacks contributed by participants. We will need to carry our own pack with water/snacks at least for 6.5 miles before refill is available.

This event is free to all participants. Organizer would like participants contribute any snack/fruits to the aid stations. You can also choose to purchase T-shirt with race logo for $15 on the event date. Please sign up by March 1 to allow time to order your T-shirt. Organizer also asked us to sign up by March 1 for them to have better idea of headcounts for planning logistics and parking.

Please plan to arrive between 7:00-7:30 am to check in. Organizer will make announcements at 7:45 am and start at 8:00 am sharp. It’s a relatively small event. There are about 285 people signed up at mid-March. Hikers are welcome too. We can walk, hike, jog, run, or whatever the combinations we enjoy for the moment in this beautiful forest.
