Itinerary:

Let's spend Tuesday morning hiking at East Palisades.  This one will be what I call a Wander.  Unlike my normal hike at East Palisades, this one will include more time on either lightly used trails or off trail altogether.  It will be a wander through the woods and who knows were we will end up.  This is a good opportunity to explore some of the corners of the park that frankly are difficult to get to once the leaves are out.

Fair warning, due to the time we will spend on either lightly used trails or bushwhacking, I strongly recommend you consider these factors and whether you are comfortable being off well groomed, established trails  before signing up for this hike.  I will rate this as a D2 hike but it will be on the difficult end of a D2 hike due to the steep hills we are likely to encounter.

Although I have hiked all of the trails we will take, I will not have hiked the exact trek we will take (some of which will be decided on the fly as we go). I estimate the hike to take 2.5 hours but it could be a bit more or less depending on the path we take.

We will be meeting at the Indian Trail parking lot off Northside Drive. This is a CRNRA unit so parking is $5 or use of an annual parking pass  There are no bathroom facilities at this trailhead so plan accordingly.     Drive slowly on the gravel entrance road to East Palisades as there are some dips and potholes.
