Itinerary:

Join us at the Floyd Road Trailhead for a fun ride along the silver comet trail. It has plenty of parking, restrooms and is nearby to a cycle shop and gas station!

From the silver comet trail website:

"The Silver Comet Trail is located 13 miles northwest of Atlanta, Georgia. It's free of charge, and travels west through Cobb, Paulding, and Polk counties. This quiet, non-motorized, paved trail is for walkers, hikers, bicyclists, rollerbladers, horses, dog walkers, and is wheelchair accessible.

The Silver Comet Trail is 61.5 miles long, and starts at the Mavell Road Trailheadin Smyrna, Georgia. It ends at the Georgia/Alabama state line, near Cedartown and The Esom Hill Trailhead."

We plan to ride 10 miles depending on the group and then turn around and return to the Floyd Road Parking Lot for a total of 20 miles. Please make sure your bike is in good working order prior to starting the event. If you do not have a helmet you will not be permitted to ride with us. 

Please note the following:

You MUST wear a helmet.
We are all responsible for our own bike repairs and maintenance.
Try and arrive early in case it is difficult to locate parking.

Tools to repair flat

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

* Take I-285 to Exit 15 (South Cobb Drive / Hwy. 280/Smyrna)
* Take South Cobb Drive North (outside the perimeter)
* Go approximately 1.8 miles on South Cobb Drive to Cooper Lake Rd (5th red light from        I-285)
* Turn left onto Cooper Lake Road
* Go approximately .6 miles and turn left on Mavell Road.
* Trailhead is at the end of Mavell Road, past Nickajack Elementary School.

Note:  You may have to park at the elementary school.
