Itinerary:

It is Spring pick time at Sawnee Mountain. There are wildflowers, wild azaleas, and Dogwood trees blooming all along the trails. It is beautiful.

We will start hiking the Ridgeline trail, there are many blazing star wildflowers blooming along this section. From there will cross over and continuing hiking on the Hilltop Trail. Along here we will see wild azaleas and flowering Dogwood Trees, as well we will enjoy the sound of the creek, which runs along the trail for a distance. Completing the loop we will cross over Bettis Tribble Gap Rd and continue hiking on Indian Seats Trail. We will reach Indian Seats just before sunset. Here we will enjoy gorgeous open view of the green valley below and mountains in a distance, make short stop for picture taking and hopefully nice sunset. After that we will descent down completing the Indian Seats Loop and be back to parking.

This is moderate pace hike with moving speed between 2.3 -2.8 miles per hour. The total hike distance is approximately 6.5 miles. We will meet at Bettis Entrance Sawnee Mountain Preserve Parking - 2505 Bettis Tribble Gap Rd, Cumming, GA, this is the Mountain Side Trail Parking. Please arrive 5 minutes early than the hike start time to do short introduction.
