Itinerary:

Ok, Joyce is leading a morning hike at Jones Bridge, and that one is full, so I thought I would offer one in the evening.  This iis a D1 and great for beginners as well, while still providing a solid aerobic workout and some nice scenery.

The route is about 3.2 mi total with 260' of total ascent, and includes the beautiful river views and some short hills.  The overall pace will moderate, although we'll be moving faster on the flat sections, and slower on the uphills.   Actually, everyone can take the hills at their own comfortable pace, and we will wait to recollect the group at the top.  However, the biggest climb is just about 100', so nothing major.

Maybe we get lucky and see some deer.  I usually see them here, especially in the evenings.

(For anyone who wants to get in some extra mileage in after the official event, I will be hiking up and down the hill by the parking lot... I can usually get in about 600' ascent per hour going back and forth over the 1/3 mile route.  It's not quite as boring as it sounds, but either way, that part is optional.)

Here is our route, and you can download the GPX file if you wish from the CalTopo site:
