Itinerary:

join me for this fun and wet hike.

We start from Dally Gap at 8:45, hike up about 1.5 miles on Hemp Top trail, then 3.5 miles down on Penitentiary Branch to Jack's River. After this point we need to change our shoes to start river crossings unitil we get to our cars for about 7 miles.

You will need footwear that you can hike in while they are wet. We will not be stopping at every river crossing to change/remove shoes.  some people like to have water shoes such as keens or tevas. Please only wear something that you are used to hiking in.My pace would be moderate slow

We will stop at Ingles in Ellijay for a bio break on the way. (100 Orchard Square)

If you have not recently completed a D5 hike with the AOC, then I will contact you to confirm this event is appropriate for your current level.
