Itinerary:

This is a pretty walk through the woods with some rolling hills. We'll start at the Cheatam Hill Road parking lot and walk the loop counter clockwise. The trail leads us through shady woods, small meadows, and past private homes. We will also have to cross over Cheatham Hill Road twice to complete the loop. There is a good chance that we will see deer and maybe even turkeys. We will be hiking at a steady pace (about 2.5 mph) with limited stops.  

The Kolb Farm Loop Trail is at the Southern end of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. It is one of four trails that comprises the 17.5 miles of trails in this park.

Parking is free

Dogs are welcome on this hike but must remain on a 6 foot leash, and owner must bring water for their dog.

From the Marietta Square travel west on Whitlock Ave/GA-120 then make a left onto John Ward Rd. At the round-about take the 2nd exit onto Cheatham Hill Road. Parking lot will be on the right about 0.5 miles down.
