Itinerary:

Limrock Blowing Cave near Scottsboro Alabama is a nice horizontal borehole passage cave with a variety of stream passagess, muddy crawls, and dry areas.  We will see waterfalls, blind crayfish, salamanders, and maybe a few bats.  The cave s a constant 58 degrees so it will be nice and cool.  We will do a little swimming and deep wading in cool water as well.  This is an excellent cave for beginner and first time cavers.  There is a changing room at the cave parking area.

Limrock Blowing Cave is one of many owned and managed by the SCCi (Southeastern Cave Conservancy inc).  The SCCI is a non-profit organization that buys or leases significant cave properties in the SE with donations by local cavers and other supporters.  You can visit their website for more information at www.scci.org
