Carpool Departure Time: 6:30 AM

Hike Start Time: 7:30 AM

What better way to beat the heat than with an early morning hike on a lush green canopy trail.

The hike is approximately 10 miles round trip with a moderate to fat burning hiking pace.

We will start at the top of the falls at the trailhead. We will turn onto the Len Foote Trail and hike to the Len Foote Hike Inn. We will stop at the Inn for a brief 10-15 minute break. We will continue back to the falls via the Len Foote route. We should be back in Atlanta early afternoon.

Finishing time will be dependent on the hiking pace of the group.

From the Park & Ride we will go north on Georgia 400 past the outlet Mall to GA 136. Left on 136 till GA 52. Right until the park entrance. After the parking lot entrance, you will make a left turn at the street next to the visitors center and drive to the top of the waterfalls (Follow the signs). We will gather at the top of the Falls parking lot.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $41.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
