Itinerary:

Will start our hike a mile up from the Walhalla fish hatchery in South Carolina. It's a 3-4 mile hike on the Foothills trail down to the Chattooga River where we'll go upriver another mile or so to find a good open camp spot for the group.

We'll spend the afternoon relaxing, swimming or maybe hike upriver to find the ERW area marker that's on the 3 state border. After breakfast we'll start the return trip up the East Fork of 3-4 miles to the Fish hatchery, which is a nice place to check the huge stock fish they have. If time allows we can also drive up to White Water falls 3 miles in to NC to view the tallest falls in the Eastern US....then it's back to Atlanta.

Tent, sleeping pad, lunch & dinner Saturday
1 quart of water, water filter & a stove.

I-85 North for 72.3 miles to Exit 1 in SC
Go North on SC 11 for 20.3 miles
Merge with SC 28 towards Wahalla for 11 miles
Veer right onto SC 107 10 miles to Fish Hatchery Rd
Turn left down to the road to about 2 miles to the parking area.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $92.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
