We will start at the Visitors Center parking lot - so travel all the way down the road as far as you can after entering the gates to the park. You will pass 2 parking areas (one immediately on the left and one at the first major curve, also on the left and oposite a pond) - these are not where you should park, but carry on up the hill to park by the Visitors Center. Restfoom facilities are available in the lodge.

We will go along the river and in to the trails to the first parking lot where we will break for water. Then we will continue in to the traila to complete the lollipop loop and then return the same way. if you want us to add the big hill behind the Visitors Center, we can take a vote at the start of the hike if you like.

Not a beginners hike as we will keep a brisk pace and Island Ford has some lovely undulating landscape giving us some good uphill/ downhill terrain.

Please arrive early for introductions etc. Thanks. Don't forget your parking pass or if you need to buy one you will need extra time to do so. Same for if you need the loo before we start.
