Itinerary:

The Gold Branch area of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area offers several miles of trails that border the river and Bull Sluice Lake which was created by the construction of Morgan Falls Dam in 1904.

We will hike along the shore of the lake and up into the woods above to cover around 4.8 miles. Rather than just circling the park, we will do an out and back hike with a loop at the end, and will hike at a comfortable pace of around 2.5 mph.

This is one of my favorite parks of the Chattahoochee NRA and yet one of the least visited.
