Itinerary:
1. Explore the abandoned TAG Railway train tunnel through the heart of the Mountain.  The entry is now wet and taken over by salamanders and frogs.  With recent rain waterfalls spring spring from the tunnel ceiling.    
2. Visit Blue Hole, resurgence of Ellison's cave system...deepest cave in GA.  
Options TBD before trip:  
3. Hike up mountain to the entrances of Ellison's Cave, visit some of the horizontal section of the cave.  
4. Drive to SW side of Pigeon Mountain to explore 4 Kings and Mountain Farms Cove Cave.

A day of caving, hiking, and exploring.

Required Items to Bring:

Rock climbing helmet, waterproof helmet mounted headlamp, spare light, spare batteries in waterproof package, small pack for gear, kneepads, food, water, boots with good traction and ankle support to get very muddy, gloves, polypro or other synthetic clothes, long legs and sleeves.   
Rental helmets and lights will be available on day of event, notify trip leader if rental is needed.  If renting a helmet, you will need to provide 4AA batteries for light.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Camera in waterproof and shocproof container like "Otterbox".

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $80.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
