Itinerary:

Pinnacle Knob via Bartram Trail/ Fall Foliage and Waterfalls

This is one of my favorite trails for hiking all year around. We will pass by 2 waterfalls, hike along the creek, see huge Pine trees, and great open view at the top, hopefully with beautiful fall colors surrounding us all along the way.

We will start the hike at Warwoman Dell taking Bartram trail in North direction. Very soon we will reach the first waterfall at Becky Branch Creek. From there we will hike through the forested valley and along Martin Creek until we reach the second waterfall, about 2 miles from the beginning point. Here we will take a short break to enjoy the beautiful waterfall, have a snack, take a few photos. Then we will start ascending and at about 3.5 miles we will reach the intersection of Bartram and Pinnacle Knob trails. We will take Pinnacle Knob trail going up for about half mile and reach the top. Here we will have lunch and enjoy the open view. After that we will go down the same way we hiked up.

We will hike about 8 miles total with a bit over of 4000 feet accumulated elevation change, moving with steady moderate pace (2 -2.5 miles/hour). You will need to be in good fitness level to complete this hike.

Note: this event might get cancel due to weather.
