Located north of Atlanta in Cumming, Georgia, Sawnee Mountain Preserve provides visitors with 963 acres of scenic passive space, hiking trails and an interactive Visitor Center. Please meet at the Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot.

Visitor Center hours: M-F 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM
Preserve hours: S-S 8:00 AM-Dark

We will meet in the Sawnee Mountain Preserve Bettis Tribble Gap parking lot.   From the playground, we'll start on the Mountainside trail loop counter clockwise starting with the Hilltop Trail.  We will do the trail down to the church and back.  That'll get your heart pumping.  Before crossing the road, we will break for a snack.  Then we will complete the other side of the park including Indian Seats.

There are toilets at the Bettis Tribble lot.

Total hike should be right around 10 miles, with a surprising amount of elevation gain. This is not a beginner hike. We will be hiking on the faster side of Moderate, averaging at least 2.5 mph with minimal stops.

Dogs are not allowed at this park.

We are meeting at the Bettis Tribble Gap location.
