THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS HIKE

Approaching Springer via Amicalola Falls parks has become too monotonous and boring. Therefore why not do the reverse direction. Starting from Springer Mountain Parking lot, walk one mile toward top of Springer at the plaque and log book point. Then descent to Black Gap and then to Nimblewill Gap, here Amicalola Mountain Rd (A gravel Rd) intersects. Here you will see another plaque telling the story of plane crash in 1968. Then trail take steep ascent. Shortly you will see a cross road sign, pointing left to Hike Inn and straight to Amicalola Falls Park; we will continue straight towards Amicalola Falls par; after about 3.5 mile you will see another cross road sign (the direction of sign is facing incoming hikers, not towards you). This time follow the sign towards Hike Inn (Very Important: You need to pay attention here; as this is the turnaround point so don't go straight towards the park instead take looping trail towards Hike Inn). Its 4.5 miles straight towards to Hike Inn where we will take a break, regroup and eat lunch. Then head back towards Springer. From Springer we will take last mile towards Parking lot.

DUE TO CORONA VIRUS WE AREN'T DOING CARPOOL. PLEASE MEET AT THE ADDRESS MENTIONED BELOW at 8.30 am. From this point we will together take 6.5 mile drive at forest service gravel rd to Springer Parking lot.

8510 Doublehead Gap Rd, Ellijay, Ga 30513

Please avoid using google map to get to Springer Parking Lot, it will give you a complicated route of forest service roads and most likely you may loose signal while driving

Notes:

If you are bringing dog and you want to to do carpool then you need to take your own car. Unless, someone agree to drive with your dog.
