This event was rescheduled from September 19.

Whitewater Adventure on the Nantahala River in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Bryson City, North Carolina. We'll float this eight-mile, crystal clear, Class II-III river through the Nantahala Gorge in individual rubber Duckys (inflatable kayaks). Duckys are great for experienced river rafters who are looking for a more high-performance trip down the river.

The photo above is Nantahala Falls, a rollicking Class III rapids near the end of the trip.  There is a take-out at the bottom of the falls and a path that can be used to carry the duckys back to the top of the falls to run it again (and again, and again, ...)

Complimentary wet suits or paddling jackets are provided.

Coolers are NOT allowed on the river.

Cancellation Policy
No refund at this point in time. Trips go rain or shine!  Today's forecast (9/25) for Sunday in Bryson City is AM clouds and PM sun - highs in the upper 70's.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!
After you sign up (or are moved up from the waiting list), you must call the outfitter (800-224-7238) immediately and make your payment via credit card.  Tell them you are registering for the AOC trip.  Then email me (atlantamediator@bellsouth.net) to confirm your payment.  If I do not receive your confirmation, you may be replaced without notice by the next person on the waiting list.



Required Items to Bring:
  • T-Shirt & shorts or a bathing suit (Ladies - a suit under your shorts works great!)
  • Athletic shoes or river sandals - shoes that will stay on your feet
  • A towel and change or clothes for after the river
  • Lunch (we'll eat along the river)
  • Water and beverages (NO GLASS)
  • A GREAT attitude (the No Bitchin' Rule is in effect)

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
