Itinerary:

We will meet at the Dunwoody Marta Station next to Perimeter Mall at 1pm (see directions and instructions below).  Day parking is free.  This way we travel together while saving gas, money, and the environment.  : )

After we travel along the Marta rails to the Phillips Arena Station, we will begin our 4 mile hike at approximately 2pm.  We will hike along Techwood Drive to Luckie Street where we will pass by the Tabernacle.  The Tabernacle was once just that, a tabernacle church.  It still has the original organ pipes in the walls behind the stage!  Now the Tabernacle is now a great place to see concerts.  The acoustics are astounding!

We will walk up Luckie Street to Peachtree Street NW and take a left.  This section of Peachtree Street is full of life.  There are restaurants, hotels, tourists and locals all meshed together.  It's great for people watching.  We will pass by the Hard Rock Café and Peachtree Center then take a left onto Baker Street.

We will hike past the World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium.  Turning onto Park Avenue West NW, we will travel around the perimeter of Centennial Olympic Park.  We will arrive at the park entrance near the CNN Center.

The Phillips Arena Marta Station is just up the hill for those who wish to head out.

Those who choose to stay for the free concert on the lawn will gather in the park for a late lunch/early dinner either at the small park café or you may opt to bring their own food if you'd prefer.  Then we will secure our spots on the lawn and prepare for a free concert in the park with Collective Soul and Drivin N Cryin!  The concert is scheduled from 4pm - 6pm.

After the show we will walk a short distance (.4 mile) to the Marta Station and catch a ride back to our cars. (Note: last train leaves at 1:00am-we won't be there that long)
