STRONG intermediate/advanced (climbs, technical sections and downhill)

I’ve stayed at Turkey Creek and rode Tsali before, so I’m heading back for more fun! The Mecca of riding beckons! You know the stories of these trails, so grab your gear and let’s go riding and camping!

Far too much to write, check out: http://www.mtbikewnc.com/bestrides/brtsali.html for details! Night rides are permitted at Tsali, but I won’t be riding at night. Camping link: http://www.turkey-creek.com/ The camp site has a shower and toilet facilities. I have equipment you may use but you are responsible for your own food.

Bike
Helmet
Water

I have a Coleman stove, pots and pans, but additional grills and equipment are welcome. Did you know that you can also rent items at REI?

Take I-85 North to I-985 which ends at US 441 North near Gainesville
Take US 441 North to US 74 at Dillsboro, NC
Take US 74 West (LEFT) past Bryson City to NC Hwy 28 North.
As the 4 lane ends, BEAR RIGHT onto NC Hwy 28 North and go 2 miles.
Turkey Creek Campground is located on the right, adjacent to the Post Office in Almond, NC. Tsali is 5 minutes away.

Notes:

Is this a rain or shine event? YES! Tsali drains rather well. If no riding, I’ll probably hike as the area has many trails.
