Itinerary:

This is a low impact hike with numerous stops. It will involve a short road walk and a train track crossing up a hill. The Thompson Park trail runs parallel in some parts with a train track off to a short distance. We Park and begin our hike at Thompson Park. Once we enter the trail... it will be a foot path with all woods and loops for around 2.4 miles. ( retracing some parts of trail ) This will be the lowest pace hike at approximately 2.3 mph. Then we connect with the Heritage Trail ( must take a short road walk ), which will be an out and back, also a mostly dirt trail with an elevated board walk over a Marsh. Running parallel with Nickajack Creek, the trail offers some Mills; the Concord Covered Bridge and a couple of small water falls for viewing. The pace will be pick up approximately 2.8 mph. There are no big climbs on this hike, except for the road to connect to Thompson Park but it's short in duration. We will have some light road traffic ( briefly) with a train track crossing. I don't see this as an issue, just be careful! Plenty of pavilions with closed in bathrooms so bring snacks! This photo is on the trail.
