A mix of Kennesaw

We will meet at the Pigeon Hill parking lot at Burnt Hickory road. There are no bathroom facilities on this hike. The group will head north up Pigeon Hill and take the first cutoff to the East Trail and continue North. We will take an unofficial cutoff trail and climb the Southeast face of the mountains. This will put our group into a saddle between Big and Little Kennesaw! Then we will head South on the Kennesaw Mountain trail which will finish the top Northern loop. Next loop will include Noses and Hardage Mill on a clockwise direction in order to finish at the cars. The mileage is short but there will be some moments out there ( about 1100 feet gain )! I would like to see some vintage Kennesaw hikers for this one ( some technical terrain ). I will take it very slow in these areas! Parking is now $5 at Kennesaw Mountain NBP or use of an annual pass (Kennesaw Mt NBP specific or annual or lifetime America The Beautiful National Park passes). You can pay for parking either at the KMNBP visitors center or online at Recreation.Gov. There are no parking kiosks in the Burnt Hickory/ Pigeon Hill lot.

From I-75 North

Take either the North or South Marietta loop off I-75 North and make your way towards Marietta.  When you arrive at Whitlock Avenue (GA 120) head west approximately 1.5 miles.  Turn right onto Burnt Hickory Road and travel 1.3 miles.  The Burnt Hickory/ Pigeon Hill Parking lot is located on the left at the intersection of Burnt Hickory and Old Mountain Road.
