Please join me for a hike on the beautiful trails of the Island Ford unit of the Chattahoochee River Natl Recreation Area (CRNRA). We will be hiking at a steady but moderate pace starting with the lollipop loop then down to the river and back again stopping to hydrate and gather up. There are some moderate climbs but nothing too hard.
We will meet at the first parking lot on the left when you enter the park. See below for directions.
Please note that there is a $5 cash parking fee unless you have an annual Chattahoochee River Rec parking pass. You can buy an annual pass and use the restroom at the Visitors Center but please allow enough time to get there and then drive back down to our starting point.
Please bring plenty of water to hydrate during the hike.
Please be sure to leave all valuables at home or hidden in your car as there has been car break-ins at all CRNRA parks.
