Come join us on a white water rafting trip down Section 4 of the Chattooga River. We'll be running Class III, IV, & V rapids. This is a beautiful river that runs down the GA - SC border and has been used in many films.

The outfitter is Southeastern Expeditions, which has been rafting this river since 1972.

We're getting a great discount price of $88.
Walk up price is $119.
You won't see this again. Take advantage of it while you can.


This will be a kick-ass trip. I had a blast when I last rafted this river back in June and am really looking forward to going back. This is scheduled to be the last AOC whitewater trip this year and you'll have to wait until Spring for your next chance.

Lunch will be included when we take a break about halfway down the river.

Wetsuits and splash jackets are included if you want.

We've had enough rain lately to keep the water levels up and lots of fun.

If everyone's up to it, we'll stop for dinner on the way back.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Interstate 85 North to the left hand fork on to Hwy 985 North. Hwy 985 will change in to Hwy 441 North. Take 441 North in to Clayton, GA. Turn right on to Hwy 76 East and go 7 miles. We will be on the right hand side of the road.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $72.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Important information for paid events in which payment is managed through the AOC:

     - Payment must be received by the payment due date and prior to participation in the event.

     - Some paid events require a minimum number of registered participants. If that number is not met, the event will be canceled and refunds will be issued to those who have already paid.

     - Third-party vendors often require damage deposits. Each registrant agrees to be liable for and required to reimburse the Atlanta Outdoor Club for any withheld deposits due to the actions of or damages caused by that registrant.

     - No partial payments. All registrants must pay the posted Member Cost regardless of any agreement you may have with any party involved in the event.

     - Read the event description carefully for additional information, and contact the trip leader(s) with any questions.

Because of the short time frame, payment is due when you sign up. If payment is not received in a timely manner, you may be removed to let someone on the waiting list go.

Payment may be made via PayPal, PC Banking or check. It is your responsibility to get payment in to meet due dates. Allow two days processing for PayPal and PC Banking and one week to mail a check. Let me know if paying by check.
