Itinerary:

GSMNP is the premier hiking location in the southeast, but there is more to it than Alum Cave, Charlies Bunion etc... Come with us and explore some other awesome trails!

This is a 3 day weekend chock full of awesome with 3 hikes for your enjoyment. Join 1, 2 or all 3 and make it YOUR weekend.

1. Rocky Top from Lead Cove

2. Mt Cammerer from Low Gap

3. Ramseys Cascade

Ramseys Cascade

We will meet at the Ramseys Cascade Trailhead parking area at 9am. This hike is a straight shot up the Ramseys Cascade trail with constant sounds and sights of the Middle Prong River and Ramsey Prong River to serenade us on our jourey up. We will climb about 2300 feet on our 4.5 mile trek to the cascade. Once there we will enjoy the view and eat an early lunch before retracing our steps back to our cars for the long journey home.

This hike is a difficult D4 with about 2300 feet of ascent. Recent strenuous hiking is required to join the fun.  We will be averaging about 2.7 mph which puts our pace on the high end of moderate.
