Itinerary:
Easy (approximately 4 miles)

Arriving at Moccasin Creek by 11am. We will take the first leg of the nature trail. When it intersects the Andersonville Road we will continue up the road to the Hemlock Falls trail. We will hike to the hemlock falls where we will eat our lunch by the falls. On the hike back we will resume the nature trail. Estimated hike time 3-4 hours. We will then return to the Indian Trail Park and Ride. Those so inclined can then get together for dinner after the hike.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Clarksville, GA park and ride only I-85 to I-985. I-985 becomes route 365 then U.S. 23/365. Please meet at the Park and Ride. The directions to the park are: Stay on 23/365 until you get to state route 197. Exit will be on the right (197 passes under 23/365). Take 197 north. Pass through Clarkesville. Trails are 20 miles north of Clarkesville on the left at Andersonville Road across from Moccasin Creek State Park and Lake Burton Fish Hatchery.

Are dogs allowed? NO

Will this event occur rain or shine? Will not occur if there is a heavy downpour or thunder storms. The leader will contact you by email or phone in the case of a cancellation.
